Using Credit and Paying it Off on Time: Sometimes stores will offer a "6 months, no interest, no payments" offer on big ticket items. Pay it off on time, and you've used their money for free.

Includes good reasoning for a big one that they always get me with.... the extended warranty! Though I have had it work in my favor at least once (by buying a discounted floor model (-$100), buying the extended warranty (+$50) finding the unit broke not long after getting it, and exchanging the used floor model for a brand new boxed one (via extended warranty) (+$0.00).... net result was a brand new item for $50 off).
