Speeding up Vista

Some tips on extremetech on how to Speed Up Windows Vista. I'll check these out tonight.... hopefully something addresses the default 600-900mb of memory that it seems to use just booting up and running no apps.

Actually, vista takes up all my ram on 2Gb machine. That's why "free memory" was taken out of task manager, replaced with percentage available.

This is called SmartFetch technology, and really makes vista fly on even slower hard drives, like the one i have in my laptop. Or in general, when launching apps...
