Ban Huxley and Heinlein Books

Who are these wierdos? Some folks down in the great state of Texas have decided that they want to ban books, specifically Huxley's Brave New World and Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land. Now I admit it's been a couple of years since I read these books, but I have read them, and I don't recall them being "pornographic literature" or causing "inappropriate sexual arousal". Of course, in high school pretty much everything else cause sexual arousal, but for a teen male I'm pretty sure that was normal (right?).

I'd go into a big bitch session about people being stupid, over-reactive, scared of things they don't know, free speach, the fact that I thought both books were great (as do most other critics), and that people shouldn't be scared of books, but I don't have the time. Of course, that's just my opinion, feel free to attend as many book burning parties as you want, that's your right. My thoughts are let the kids read the books and ask them how they feel about it. If they feel it's pornographic, or offensive, let them say. Course, if I was a parent I'd just be happy my kid was reading.

Again, thanks fark.
