If you're reading this either the DNS issues have worked out, or you are coming by IP :) Either way, welcome back. The move went very smoothly, and aside from the fact that the world doesn't know this server at this IP exist yet, everything is just fine! If you want access to our fine, fine domains, you can also add the IP 65.110.12.162 to your list of DNS servers in your /etc/resolv.conf or under TCP/IP properties in the networking area in windows.
yeah, I added it to my hosts list...after I forgot to write down the IP and had to sift through my temp files to find my history.
Ahh, no spam or emails to contend with as the DNSs take their time ;)
Yeah, no access to webmail either as DNS takes its time too :(
Enjoy it while it lasts Fred!
Hey Al! any reason I should be getting:
Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to localhost:143 in /usr/share/squirrelmail/functions/imap_general.php on line 227
SquirrelMail version 1.4.0
By the SquirrelMail Development Team
ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
111 : Connection refused
When I attempt to login to squirrel mail?
Thanks and kindly :) (no pressure or anything, but it would really be nice to check email before I leave for Denmark tomorrow - and right now I'm +8 hours ahead of you.... )
Ah, that'd be me messing around. Should be fixed now.
I can get on a work with regular DHCP name servers, but not home. What does that mean? ;)
Also for those who like watching DNS propagation, just look here:

Yes, I know watching paint dry is more exciting, and is actually faster than DNS propagation!
