Well Adobe Labs has the new Photoshop CS3 Beta available for download. If you don't have a valid CS2 key you get two days with it.

I've played briefly with it and saw some new stuff.

• New look (similar to the dark theme of lightroom
  
• Much improved black and white converter (control individual channels)
  
• Apparently much improved photo merge functionality (have not used it yet myself)
  
• Smart select
  
• Automatic layer alignment and blending,
  
• Much more....
