Kevin Smith, of Smodcast, Clerks, and QuickStop fame is going to head out to join the Westboro Baptist Church in protesting Red State at the Sundance Film festival.
Fans of Smith will remember he did something similar back in '99 protesting Dogma. One can hope that they get way more turn out. He also tells a great story about how it all came to be and his disappointment in the protest turnout at Dogma.
Argh, my mistake, looks like he's joining the counter-protest, not the protest. Bummer. Course, the Westboro people are some messed up folks who don't need any more encouragement than they have from their current endeavors.
