Last night I saw that Tweetbot launched and bought the $1.99 app sight unseen, based on the various reviews from people around the net. My prediction? Tapbots is going to make a lot of money over the next few days.
Do we need another twitter app? No. Is tweetbot perfect? No (I really like the 'bar above the keyboard UI that the official app has). Is it gorgeous and functional, with some pretty sweet UI innovation? Hells yes. Is the price in that sweet spot low enough that one would buy it sight unseen but not at the basement bottom $0.99? Yup.
