Everything2.com was created by Blockstackers not all that long after Slashdot, starting life as everything.slashdot.org. In the years that followed it took on a life of its own, getting its own domain name and growing into a successful community with a culture all its own. For years we supported its staff, but as time passed, it became only a hobby to its founders.
It's a little sad, and I hope that E2 continues in some form or other (even if it's just uploaded to the internet archive as disk images). I honestly haven't gone there in ages, though my page and all my 104 nodes still exist there.
