Someone has done a port of the much loved xmms (or "winamp for that linux thing" for those who don't know), and calle dit Beep. Looks pretty funky. Because it's running under GTK2 it has access to all the anti-aliasing, font smoothing, and other nifty things that GTK2 provides.
